About the artist

Australian born artist Kira Demi, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne, working with acrylics, watercolours, fine line sketches, and mixed media.
Whether through art, poetry or sound - it is through creating that she makes sense of the world and honours the beauty found in its quiet, complex moments.

Her practice moves fluidly between the bold and the delicate;
Her acrylic and mixed media works are abstract, expressive, and layered - marked by movement, texture, and transformation. These pieces often explore strength, change, and the emotional landscapes we navigate through life.
In contrast, her poetry, watercolours and fine line sketches bring softness and stillness - inviting calm, reflection, and the subtle beauty of pause.

Largely self-taught, with early training at the Northern College of Art and Technology, Kira’s work is deeply informed by personal experience, the people she has encountered, and the natural world.

Her themes - gratitude, empowerment, healing, and connection - emerge from lived truth and are carried through her brushstrokes with intention.

At the core of Kira’s practice is a desire to connect.
She hopes that her work resonates with others in ways that are gentle but powerful - that it offers a moment of recognition, a sense of belonging, or the quiet reminder that one’s existence matters.
